- Lane-naming in memory of John Brooks – details are not yet confirmed with the family.
- Street Beautification
- Graffiti & scratchitti – the bus shelters at Oakwood and Highview have been ground and burnished to remove the scratchitti. Unfortunately, there is now new graffiti there.
- Street-planter replacements and additions – The relocation of the concrete planters from St. Clair Ave is being coordinated by Stephanie Ford from Councillor Palacio’s office.
- Gardens – Daffodil Hill is in bloom; the hill was cleaned up before the flowers started to appear. Please visit to enjoy the blooms before the heat gets to them. Some trees at the Springmount gardens have been trimmed to let in more light. It should look better once the foliage grows in. 90 donated pots of crocuses have been planted throughout RHRA. - Mt. Royal Parkette – presently the focus of the working group is to build the relationship between the City, Parks and Rec and the local planning group to proceed with the greening of the parkette. The first project to tackle is the greening of the south end of the parkette. It is hoped to plant ivy across the south wall and fill in the bare spot with greenery. An info board is not desired at the present time. Thanks were expressed for the daffodils and pansies that were donated to the parkette.
- St. Clair ROW –
- the construction is proceeding quickly into our neighbourhood. Sidewalks are being torn up to install underground hydro, the new sidewalks will follow, and then tree planting. Reconstruction in the Oakwood intersection is expected to take about 3 weeks. The next Construction Liaison Committee meeting is Thursday April 30 at 8am to discuss ongoing operation and design problems that arise. Persons with these concerns can bring their issues to the meetings at the St.Clair-Alberta site office.
- A letter re Dufferin – St. Clair intersection expressing our concerns about the narrow sidewalks at the SE, NE and NW corners of the intersection, was approved for mailing. A copy will be cc’d to Councillor Palacio.
- St. Clair Street Trees – A letter has been sent to Councillor Palacio requesting a copy of the final street-tree plan.
